Department Information

Computer Science was started as three years degree course in the year 2005 on no-grant basis. The department has good laboratory infrastructure. Three well-qualified alumni of the department are presently serving as faculty. During last five years, the enrollment figures were trending but in the current academic year the batch is fully enrolled.

Bridge/remedial coaching, workshop on PC assembling & maintenance, workshops on using the internet, NPTEL lectures, video tutorials are some of the facilities provided to the students of Computer Science. Internet access is also provided to all the students in the laboratory.

Website of the college is a project maintained by faculty of the department with help of a group of students. Computerized collection of Student Feedback is also a system developed by the department.

The department has a well-equipped computer laboratory with internet & ICT facilities. All faculty & students of the college are provided with login credentials that can be used on any computer from library, Network Resource Center, various departments and Computer Science laboratory. This provides the users uniform interface everywhere & secure access to their data & the internet. Faculty of the department manage these IT facilities.

4) One Day Workshop on Web designing using Joomla CMS, organized by Department of Computer Science on 3rd February 2017 for the students of Computer Science. We had resource person Asst. Prof. Waman Parulekar from Finolex Academy of Management and Technology
5) A workshop on “PYTHON” was organized in by Student Association of MCA and the department of MCA on 17th and 18th February 2017. This Workshop was conducted for students of Finolex Academy and nearby colleges. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Ravindra V. Kerkar and conducted by Prof. Ajinkya S. Naphade from Athalye Sapre Pitre College, Devrukh.
6) A workshop on “PYTHON” was organized in by Rajendra Mane Polytechnic,Ambav on 18th and 19th September 2017. This Workshop was conducted for students of Rajendra Mane Poytechnic and nearby colleges. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Akshay N. Shetye and conducted by Prof. Ajinkya S. Naphade from Athalye Sapre Pitre College, Devrukh.
