Department Information

Department of English is established with the begining of the college in 1972. The department gives opportunity to the students to complete B.A. degree in English-Hindi and English-Geography. Good placement opportunities are provided by the Department.

Faculty of the department, Dr. Laxman B. Patil is recognized as a Ph.D. guide of the University of Mumbai and at present five research fellows pursue Ph.D. degree under his guidance.

In the memory of Late Prin. R. V. Dixit, the department annually organizes English Language Teaching Workshop for English teachers of secondary schools of Sangmeshwar Tehsil. Renowned resource persons are invited for this workshop. The workshop started in 1996. About 45 teachers participate in this workshop every year. The total expenditure is borne by the parent institution, Devrukh Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Devrukh.

Presently, the college offers Three Year Integrated Bachelor of Arts programme with English and Hindi or English and Geography subjects (three-three papers) along with the other options.
