Physics is a highly experimental subject and hence the department must have well-equipped laboratories where students can conduct experiments to understand various principles in physics.
We have two laboratories and one dark room for UG and PG students. Laboratories are equipped with basic equipment like Spectrometers, pendulums, mirrors, light sources, optical benche, thermometers, pulleys, spring balances, AC and DC power supplies, oscilloscopes and signal generators, Electronic Components(ICs, R,C,L etc),8085 microprocessor,8051microcontroler, software for simulations (e.g., MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, COMSOL Multiphysics) etc.
A Department Library that serves students by providing better access to reference books is a vital resource for enhancing their academic experience.
Subscriptions to platforms such as N-LIST, the British Council Online Library and other open-source (e-resources).
Access to lectures through Library.
We are regularly using software for better understanding and correlating with theory and practical concepts.
Our motive is to use various simulations and applets for better conceptual understanding. For ex. o-Physics, Java Based Physics applets, Flash Animations for Physics, Phet simulations, Scratch- Programming, Electronics Circuit Simulator. Following are the web-links of the same.
We regularly do organize lectures of academic experts, persons from industries, research experts and Alumni
Students and staff-members use online learning platforms like SWAYAM, NPTEL and MOOC to offer additional courses for continuous learning and skill development.
To motivate students for further career prospectus, we every year organize educational visits for the students to various institutes of national importance such as IISER, TIFR, BARC, IITM, ICT Mumbai, HBSU, Mumbai, and Pune University etc. as well as to industries like Mahesh Electrical, Jindal, etc
We do provide first- and second-year students with notes in respect of some topics and assist them in briefly preparing their notes regarding some other topics. Students are given a complete question bank and a practical manual. Every teacher has his/her own video lectures on various subjects, which is uploaded to his/her You Tube channel.
The Physics Department has well-equipped, spacious, and well-maintained laboratories with all necessary infrastructures for Graduate, Post-Graduate and Ph.D. students. We have 02 laboratories and one dark room to conduct physics experiments. Separate interdisciplinary Research laboratory is available for Ph. D. Students.
The following instruments are available in the research laboratory:
Completion of 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board or institution with relevant Science subjects (such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics)
Further studies in Physics or related fields or Postgraduate Programs, Jobs in industries related to IT, Electronics, Solar etc
Bachelor’s degree in Physics
Lecturer, Doctoral Programs, Job opportunity in Industry related to IT, Solar, Electronics and Research Institute
Master’s degree in Physics or equivalent qualification
Research and development (R&D), academia, industrial leadership roles
